The Articles of Confederation Interpretation

“Regulating the alloy and value of the coin…”
This was one of the many things that the Articles of Confederation wanted to change.  The Article of Confederation wanted to change the value of the money so that throughout the whole United States in every place the value would be the same. This was probably one of the few things that were good about the Article of Confederation. Eventually everything fell apart because the Article of Confederation was weak.

Thomas Paine Interpertation

“The strength of one man is so unequal to his wants and his mind so unfitted for perpetual solitude that he is soon obliged to seek assistance and relief of another, who in turn requires the same.”(pg50)
Thomas Paine tries to recreate society starting from the beginning, to explain his reasoning. Paine says that the strength of a man is not that strong for him to do what he wants so he looks for someone else to help him with his wants and needs, and so on. I believe this is the truth just because for example someone has a great idea but that does not mean that they can put their ideas out without any help. No one is perfect and what someone is lacking someone else might have it.

Roger Williams: The bloody Tenet of Persecution for Cause of Conscience summary

For our homework I chose Roger Williams because it is a very interesting passage.

Roger Williams did not stay in a specific religion first he was an Anglican,Puritan, and he founded the Baptist Church of America. While in England he published The Bloody Tenet of Persecution for the cause of Conscience. Roger Williams beliefs were that everyone being religious or not had a right to there own religious liberty. Also Williams believes that government does not have a right to put religious laws. Williams hated the hypocrisy of the Christians they were preaching peace but would use violence to force other to believe there beliefs. Williams was pointing out how the laws would favor one religion and not the others.
